Macklemore

Ben Haggerty (born June 19, 1983), known by his stage name Macklemore and formerly Professor Macklemore, is an American rapper and musician.

He began independently releasing music since 2000 and now collaborates with producer Ryan Lewis, violinist Andrew Joslyn, and trumpeteer Owuor Arunga. He has gained a significant online fanbase. He has released one mixtape, three EPs and two albums, although none on a major record label. 

Macklemore was born in Seattle, Washington, where he was raised. He attended Garfield High School, Nathan Hale High School and The Evergreen State College. Interested in reaching a younger generation through his music, he was a part of a program focusing on education and cultural identity called "Gateways for Incarcerated Youth" where he facilitated music workshops.

His music video "Thrift Shop" has been viewed on YouTube more than 140 million times, and reached number 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart, selling more than 2.2 million copies

Macklemore first met Ryan Lewis in 2006. 

Lewis spent a few years working on Macklemore's promotion as a photographer. They would soon become good friends. Lewis would go on to produce for Macklemore, the two eventually working full-time as a title-credited duo.

Macklemore released his debut studio album The Heist on October 9, 2012, which charted at number 2 on the US Billboard 200 chart, selling 78,000 copies in the first week.

Macklemore became engaged to his girlfriend of seven years, Tricia Davis, on January 21, 2013.

 She is an English singer-songwriter and musician.
 Adele was offered a recording contract from XL Recordings after a friend posted her demo on Myspace in 2006. The next year she received the Brit Awards "Critics' Choice" award and won the BBC Sound of 2008.

 Her debut album,19, was released in 2008 to much commercial and critical success. It certified four times platinum in the UK, and double platinum in the US. Her career in the US was boosted by a Saturday Night Live appearance in late 2008. At the 2009 Grammy Awards, Adele received the awards for Best New Artist and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.

Adele released her second album, 21, in early 2011. The album was well received critically and surpassed the success of her debut,earning the singer six Grammy Awards in 2012 including Album of the Year, equalling the record for most Grammy Awards won by a female artist in one night. The album has also helped her receive numerous other awards, including two Brit Awards and three American Music Awards. She is an american rapper, singer, songwriter, and voice actress. She was born in Saint James, Trinidad and Tobago. When she was five years of age, she moved to the New York City borough of Queens, where she grew up. Minaj trained as an actress before she released three mixtapes between 2007 and 2009 and signed to Young Money Entertainment.Critics have noted Minaj's use of various sexual identities within her music,with some implying that she is bisexual.

Minaj is known for wearing outlandish costumes and wigs and is often compared to pop-singer, Lady Gaga, and is often called "the black Lady Gaga"; Minaj refutes comparisons between the two
